Interproximal enamel reduction | Information from A to Z

If teeth are crowded because of a disproportion between tooth and jaw size, interdental enamel reduction may be advisable to reduce the width of the teeth. In the long term, this prevents crowding and removes the need to extract permanent teeth. Reducing some of the enamel between the teeth (interproximal) is an easy process, and does not increase the risk of caries. |
